Skype to reach for TV market with Joost

Skype, the leader in voice-over Internet protocol (VoIP), has unveiled a project that will bring TV to computers and the Internet to TVs in a massive undertaking by the new Skype subsidiary Joost.

Previously known by the codename The Venice Project, Joost (pronounced “juiced”) will initially focus on offering free ad-supported online video content that is submitted from content providers like record labels and TV networks.

TZO to provide Dynamic DNS services for HP MediaSmart Servers

Dynamic DNS service provider Tzolkin Corporation (TZO), today announced it will supply embedded dynamic DNS services for the new HP MediaSmart Server product announced at the 2007 Consumer Electronics Show.

The HP MediaSmart Server helps consumers access their digital assets from any computer or digital entertainment center on the home network and is slated to ship later this year. TZO will allow HP customers to select a personal web address for easy and secure remote access to the HP product.

Linksys adds LELA Mac OS support
