Other features include Access Control Lists (ACL), 802.1x port authentication, 802.1p and DSCP-based prioritization for prioritization of VoIP traffic, rate limiting for bandwidth management, and IGMP snooping for managing multicast streams. Stacked switches are hot-swappable with automatic fail-over.

Management options include a browser-based admin interface, Netgear’s ProSafe Network Management Software (NMS100), or other SNMP-based management solutions.

The GS724TS and GS748TS are available now for suggested U.S. list prices of $750 and $1,450, respectively.
