D-Link Adds Four Metal-Case Low Port Count Switches

If you like your switches hard and small, D-Link has some new ones for you.

Four new models pack five or eight 10/100 or 10/100/1000 ports into all-metal cases.

All four models are unmanaged, support 802.1p QoS tags and are 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet Compliant (automatically shut down idle or disconnected ports for power saving).

The models and estimated street prices are:

• DES-105 (10/100) – $30
• DES-108 (10/100) – $45
• DGS-105 (10/100/1000) – $55
• DGS-108 (10/100/1000) – $69

All come with a limited lifetime warranty and should be available shortly.
