EnGenius Expands Into Smart PoE Switches

EnGenius logoEnGenius has announced a trio of Gigabit PoE smart switches.

The EGS5110P is a 1U rack-mountable 8-Port Gigabit PoE+ Smart Switch featuring eight IEEE 802.3at/af PoE ports and two SFP uplink ports. It has a total PoE budget of 130 W with up to 30 W per port.

The EGS2108P has eight Gigabit ports, four supporting IEEE 802.3af PoE at up to 15.4 W each for a total 61.6 W PoE budget. The EGS2110P has the same feature set as the EGS2108P plus two SFP uplink ports.

Smart switch features of all three include loopback detection, port mirroring, port trunking, bandwidth control, 802.1q QoS and 802.1p CoS support and port-based VLAN. 802.3ad link aggregation is not supported.

The EGS5110P is available now at a MSRP of $369.99. The EGS2108P and EGS2110P will be available in September at MSRPs of $199.99 and $249.99, respectively.
