ASUSTOR Adds Value-Priced Rackmount NAS

ASUSTOR logoASUSTOR has announced a lower-cost rackmount NAS.

The AS-204RS is a small-biz NAS based on a 1.2 GHz dual-core Intel Atom CE5310 and 1 GB of DDR3 memory. Port complement includes dual Gigabit Ethernet, four USB 3.0 and one HDMI.

Its four hot-swappable bays hold 3.5" SATA II/III hard drives or 2.5" hard or solid state drives up to 4 TB. Drives can be configured in multiple single disk, JBOD, RAID 0, 1, 5, 6 and 10 volumes with spare drives. Both online RAID capacity expansion and level migration are supported.

The rackmount NAS runs ASUSTOR’s ADM 2.1 operating system with features including a full-featured browser-based File Explorer, MyArchive for using drives as removable archival storage, PPTP and OpenVPN VPN servers, integrated Avast anti-virus and more.

The AS-204RS will hit U.S. store shelves in mid-June, listing at $619 without rack mounting rails.
