Infortrend Announces RackMount Dual-Core Biz NASes

Infortrend logoInfortrend has announced two Intel-based 2U business NASes.

The EonNAS 1310 and 1510 are 2U rackmount NASes with eight and twelve hot-swappable bays, respectively.

The EonNAS 1310’s hardware platform includes a 2.5 GHz Intel Celeron dual-core processor, 2 GB of DDR3 RAM and two Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports. Each hot-swappable bay accepts 3.5" SATA drives up to 3 TB for 24 TB of raw capacity.

The EonNAS 1510’s core uses a 3.3 GHz Intel Core i3 dual-core processor, 4 or 8 GB of DDR3 RAM and two Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports. Each hot-swappable bay accepts 3.5" SATA drives up to 3 TB for 36 TB of raw capacity. The 1510 can be configured with other port options including six Gigabit LAN ports (EonNAS 1510-1) or two Gigabit LAN ports plus two 10 Gigabit LAN ports (EonNAS 1510-2).

Both the 1310 and 1510 have six USB 2.0 ports and are powered by two redundant 550W power supplies. The dual LAN ports support trunking, teaming and 802.3ad link aggregation.

The NASes support RAID0/1/5/5 + Hot spare/6/6+ Hot spare/10 ZFS-formatted volumes with online RAID capacity expansion. Data deduplication is supported as is compression and iSCSI thin provisioning.

Other features include support for VMware vSphere,Citrix XenServer and Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V virtualization, IPv6, ICAP-based anti-virus, remote replication via rsync, data snapshots and remote data mirroring.

The EonNAS 1310 and 1510 will begin shipping on October 1st at MSRPs of $2,199 and $3,499, respectively.
