Iomega Adds Rackmount iSCSI NAS

The Iomega StorCenter Pro ix4-200r NAS Rackmount Server provides 2 or 4TB of hot-swappable storage configurable in JBOD, RAID 5 and RAID 10 volumes.

The ix4-200r is powered by a 3.2 GHz Intel Celeron processor and has 1GB of RAM and one Gigabit Ethernet port with jumbo frame support.

Features include iSCSI block-level access, folder quotas, Windows Active Directory support, direct recording from up to four Axis IP security cameras, CIFS/SMB/Rally, NFS, and AFP/Bonjour network protocols, three USB 2.0 ports for backup, storage expansion and USB printer serving and VMware Ready certification for virtualization applications.

Also included is UPnP / DLNA and iTunes media serving, Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP) support via USB and Bluetooth uploads from a cell phone, pocket PC or Blackberry(R) phone (with the addition of a supported Bluetooth adapter).

The ix4-200r is available now worldwide for $1799.99 and $2,799.99 MSRP for the 2 TB and 4 TB configurations, respectively.
