March Of The WD 8 TB Drives Begins

WD logoWD says it will start shipping its 8 TB helium drives in a wide range of storage products.

Launching throughout the first half of 2016, My Cloud personal storage devices, My Book external hard drives , WD Red, WD Red Pro and WD Purple hard drives will all include models with a new high-capacity configuration using WD’s 8 TB helium drives.

My Book 8 TB (model #: WDBFJK0080HBK) and My Book for Mac 8 TB (model #: WDBYCC0080HBK) are currently available for $299.99 MSRP.

My Cloud, My Book Duo, My Book Pro, WD Red, WD Red Pro and WD Purple 8 TB configurations will be available during the first half of 2016. Pricing will be announced as the products hit the shelves.
