QNAP Adds “Entry-level” Four Bay Rackmount NAS

QNAP today announced a four bay rackmount NAS targeted specifically at SMB and workgroup market segments.

The TS-410U uses a Marvell 800MHz CPU and 512 MB of DDRII RAM with four bays supporting 2.5" or 3.5" hot-swappable SATA hard drives for up to 8TB of total capacity. Other hardware features include Dual Gigabit LAN ports with failover and load-balancing, four USB 2.0 ports and two eSATA ports for storage expansion and attached backup.

The1U rackmount NAS can be configured for RAID 0/1/5/6/5+ spare, and JBOD with online RAID capacity expansion and online RAID level migration. It runs QNAP’s AJAX-based V3 OS and supports QNAP’s full feature set, which includes iSCSI targets, UPnP AV / DLNA and iTunes media services, BitTorrent / FTP, HTTP downloader and SMB/CIFS, AFP and NFS network file systems.

The TS-410U is available now at an MSRP of $699.
