Synology Ships New Low And Midrange NASes

Synology today announced two entry level and two mid level NASes.

The new additions to Synology’s Personal and Home Office offerings are the DS211j and DS411j, powered by 1.2 GHz Marvell Kirkwood CPUs with 128 MB of RAM.

The mid-range adds are the DS111 and DS211, powered by 1.6 GHz Kirkwoods and 256 MB of memory.

All run Synology’s DSM 3.0 OS, which supports a wide range of features including UPnP AV / DLNA media serving, network camera recording and remote photo viewing. All models work with Synology’s ioS and Android apps.

MSRPs for the DS111 and DS211 are $219.99 and $319.99, respectively. Street pricing for the DS211j and DS411j are $229 and $389, respectively.
