CES LogoIomega today announced a $100 device that shares USB drives locally and remotely.

The Iomega iConnect Wireless Data Station has no onboard storage and connects to your network via either 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet or 802.11b/g/n 2.4 GHz wireless. Up to four USB hard or flash drives can be connected and shared locally or accessed remotely from the Internet.

The iConnect supports many features of Iomega's latest-generation ix2 and ix2 NASes, including UPnP / DLNA Certified AV Media serving, Torrent download manager, Apple Time Machine support, device-to-device replication, photo slideshow and USB printer serving. Secure remote Internet access to files is also supported.

Also included is Iomega's downloadable Protection Suite, which includes Iomega QuikProtect for simple scheduled file-level backup; a choice between EMC Retrospect Express or Express HD for client backup and a free subscription to anti-virus, anti-spyware, and web security protection software.

The Iomega iConnect Wireless Data Station will be available next month at an MSRP of $99.99, which includes a three year warranty.
