Mashable reports that Barnes & Noble plans to announce a new ereader, possibly a lower-end Nook to counter Amazon’s Kindle, next week.
The bookstore chain has invited press to a May 24 event — this date coincides with information in an SEC filing regarding “the launch of a new ereader device.”

Google has added pivot tables to Docs spreadsheets.

ThisIsMyNext says the new Acer and ASUS tablets will get Honeycomb 3.1 updates soon.

Both ASUS and Acer have confirmed that their respective 10.1-inch, Tegra 2-powered Android tablets will be getting the update in early June. That’s right, both the Iconia Tab A500 and Eee Pad Transformer will be sent an over-the-air update at the beginning of next month.
