Services & Apps

Verizon Google Apps logoVerizon is now offering bundles of broadband service with three Google Apps Premium Accounts for small and medium businesses.

Verizon has previously bundled offerings like internet security suites and Microsoft Exchange packages with its business internet and phone products. This new offering, called Google Apps for Verizon is Verizon's first real commitment to a cloud-based product.

Verizon's current popularity, especially with its speedy FiOS service, will probably make this bundle quite popular among smaller businesses. Bundling with Verizon brings along a free domain name for the first year. Additionally, Verizon is going to allow monthly billing for Google Apps, whereas purchasing through Google itself requires a yearly commitment.

Bundles start at $74.99 for internet and phone. A la carte and additional user accounts will be $3.99 per user per month, which works out to the same price as paying for the service from Google. Full details are available on the Verizon web site.
