Iomega has partnered up with network camera maker Axis Communications to integrate network camera hosting into its NASes.
Iomega has included Axis' AXIS Video Hosting System (AVHS) client in its dual-drive desktop Iomega StorCenter ix2-200 and quad-drive desktop ix4-200d Cloud Edition NASes.
The integrated AVHS client enables video file NAS storage while simultaneously streaming video data to a secure off-site storage facility.
Iomega also said it will integrate the AVHS client into its rackmount network storage products, including the four-drive ix4-200r and 12-drive ix12-300r in the "second half of 2011".
The Iomega StorCenter ix2-200 Cloud Edition NAS is priced from around $300 and the Iomega StorCenter ix4-200d Cloud Edition NAS from around $800.00.
