Yoggie releases MacOS mini security appliances

The new Gatekeeper Pico for Mac and Gatekeeper Card Pro for Mac provide 12 internet security applications in USB and ExpressCard formats. Both boot automatically with the MacOS and redirect all network traffic through them, protecting the host machine running Mac OS X v10.5.4 (Leopard) and above.

Security functions include stateful inspection firewall, Snort intrusion detection and prevention, Kapersky anti-virus and anti-spyware, Mailshell anti-spam and anti-phishing and SurfControl Web content filtering. The ExpressCard product also includes a VPN client.

MSRP for the Yoggie Gatekeeper Pico for Mac is $149 and $199 for the Gatekeeper Card Pro for Mac;the same as for the Windows versions. Both are available for pre-order today at a 20% discount and will be shipped starting December 1.

SonicWALL updates SSL-VPNs

SonicWALL announced today that it has expanded the capabilities of its SSL-VPN series with new industry certifications and feature enhancements.

SonicWALL Firmware Version 2.1 for its SSL-VPN 2000 and 4000 appliances adds drag-and-drop functionality in the new Java version of the file shares applet. This new firmware version also provides LDAP authentication capabilities for multiple organizational units, and offers access control based on both existing Active Directory group and RADIUS group memberships.
