NETGEAR Adds Small-Biz IPsec / SSL VPN Wireless Router

NETGEAR has bundled 802.11n wireless and SSL tunnels into its new 8 port VPN router.

The FVS318N ProSafe Wireless-N 8-port Gigabit VPN Firewall has a 2.4 GHz 802.11n access point and support for five SSL and 12 IPsec VPN tunnels.Wired ports include one WAN and eight LAN Gigabit Ethernet ports.

NETGEAR specs the FVS318N’s routing throughput at 95 Mbps with 6,000 concurrent connections supported.

The FVS318N is shipping now at an MSRP of $179.

Netgear today announced a new dual-mode security gateway that provides simultaneous support for up to 25 IPsec and 10 SSL VPN tunnels.

The ProSafe Dual WAN Gigabit SSL VPN Firewall (FVS336G) has two gigabit WAN ports supporting load-balancing and fail-over modes and an integrated four-port 10/100/1000 Mbps switch.
