AXIS M50 PTZ Dome Network CameraAxis has announced a palm-sized HD pan/tilt/zoom/IP camera.

The AXIS M50 PTZ Dome Network Cameras are 5.1” wide and 2.2” high, offer 360° surveillance (±180° pan, 90° tilt and 3x digital zoom) with 720p resolution in a package smaller than the average hand (see video).

All models have intelligent motion detection, built-in microphone and can be powered via DC adapter or 802.3af PoE.

The new PTZ dome series includes the AXIS M5013 that features SVGA 800x600 resolution and the AXIS M5014 with 720p resolution. Both can deliver multiple simultaneous, individually configurable H.264 and Motion JPEG video streams and are compatible with AXIS Camera Station video management software.

The M50 Series will be available to order in April at suggested retail prices of $499 for the AXIS M5013 and $599 for the AXIS M5014.
