ZyXEL Announces WirelessHD Kit

ZyXEL has announced a 60 GHz band wireless HDMI display adapter.

The WHD6215 Aerobeam by ZyXEL WirelessHD kit supports wireless connection of up to four devices to an HDMI-equippped digital display.

The kit uses 60 GHz band devices from Silicon Image that are WirelessHD compliant. ZyXEL said the kit will support "full 1080P video playback, including 3D" and 7.1 surround sound audio.

The company said it plans additional products in the "Aerobeam" line.

TheWHD6215 kit will be available in "early July" at an estimated street price of $199.
