The settlement provides up to two full refunds or up to three 50% promotional discounts towards the purchase of new Belkin Wireless networking products from Belkin’s online store for U.S. customers who purchased covered products between October 13, 2002 and February 5, 2007. Copies of valid sales receipts are required for the full refunds.

The Belkin suit is the second to challenge a wireless LAN product manufacturer’s performance claims. Netgear settled a suit with a similar charge back in November 2005.

More details are available from Belkin’s website.
