D-Link ships low-cost dual-band draft 11n AP

The DAP-2553 AirPremier N Dual Band PoE Access Point is a selectable dual-band access point with upgradable antennas and 802.3af PoE support.

The single Atheros-based (AR9132 / AR9106) dual-band radio supports WMM, WEP and Personal and Enterprise WPA/WPA2 wireless security as well as MAC address filtering, SSID broadcast disable, rogue AP detection and WLAN segmentation with up to four VLANs and SSIDs. WDS bridging and repeating including client mode is also included.

Management options include Web (HTTP), SSL, SSH and Telnet. SNMPv3 is also supported for management via D-Link AP Manager II, D-View SNMPv3 management module or other SNMPv3 solutions.

The DAP-2553 is available now at street pricing as low as $133.
