D-Link logoD-Link says it has started shipping its first draft 802.11ac router.

The company announced back at CES that it would have draft 802.11ac products starting in the "later part of 2012" and, in a surprise move, it actually is delivering on time.

The DIR-865L Cloud Router 5700 is yet another Broadcom-based 1300 Mbps 5 GHz draft 802.11ac / 450 Mbps 2.4 GHz 802.11bgn router with Gigabit Ethernet WAN (1) and switched LAN (4) ports and a USB port for storage sharing.

The "cloud" part of the new router refers to the feature set of D-Link's other cloud routers. This includes remote monitoring and control via the mydlink Lite App iOS and Android apps and media sharing via D-Link's SharePort mobile app.

The DIR-865L is available now at a $189.99 MSRP.
