Amped Wireless’ Compact 802.11ac Wireless Extender Now Shipping

Amped Wireless logoAmped Wireless has released its wall-plugged 802.11ac wireless extender announced at January’s CES.

The REC15A High Power Compact 802.11ac Wi-Fi Range Extender is an AC1200 class wireless range extender supporting both 2.4 and 5 GHz network extension simultaneously in a compact wall-plugged format.

Amped says the REC15A’s four power amplifiers produce 500 mW of transmit power, providing up to 5,000 sq. ft. of extended coverage. There is also a single Ethernet port enabling use as a wireless bridge.
