Dell Rolls Out AC, N, Biz-class APs

Dell logoDell has announced three enterprise access points.

The SonicPoint AC Series includes the AC1750 class SonicPoint ACe and ACi access points. Both are powered via 802.11at PoE have dual, switched Gigabit Ethernet, RJ45 console and USB 2.0 ports. The ACe has external upgradeable antennas, three for each band. The ACi’s six antennas are all internal.

The SonicPoint N2 is an N900 class access point that shares the feature set of the SonicPoint ACe.

Other features include "FairNet" airtime fairness, wireless intrusion detection, guest networks, captive portal, eight SSIDs.

All three APs are detected, provisioned, updated and managed by the wireless controller in a Dell SonicWALL SuperMassive, NSA or TZ Series firewall. WLAN administration is also handled directly from the managing firewall, simplifying setup and centralizing ongoing management.

The SonicPoint ACe, ACi and N2 will start shipping this month at MSRPs of $575, $475 and $350, respectively.
