Buffalo Launches Second-Gen AC Routers

Buffalo logoBuffalo has started shipping its second-generation AC1750 router and will soon ship an AC1200 model.

The WZR-1750DHP AirStation Extreme AC 1750 Gigabit Dual Band Wireless Router was announced at this January’s CES, along with its AC1200 class sibling, the WZR-1166DHP AirStation Extreme AC 1200 Gigabit Simultaneous Dual Band Wireless Router.

Both are based on second-generation Broadcom CPUs, have Gigabit WAN (1) and switched LAN (4) ports and one each USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports for storage and printer sharing.

Both also support access point and wireless bridge modes, have priority-based QoS and Norton ConnectSafe parental controls and web filtering

The WZR-1750DHP is shipping now at $169.99 and the WZR-1166DHP follows at the end of this month for $149.99 (prices are MSRP).
