QNAP logoQNAP has six new AMD-powered rackmount NASes.

The TS-x63U series are quad-core 64 bit Embedded G-Series AMD-powered NASes available in 4, 8 and 12-bay models with single and redundant power supply options.

All six models come with 4 GB of DDR3 RAM, expandable to 16 GB total have four aggregateable Gigabit Ethernet ports and one built-in 10GbE SFP+ port.

2.5" and 3.5" solid state or SATA drives in hot-swappable bays can be configured in multiple RAID 0, 1, 5, 6 and 10 plus JBOD and single drive volumes. RAID 5, 6 and 10 volumes also can be configured with hot spare support. Volumes can be encrypted via an AES-NI hardware-accelerated encryption engine and SSD caching is also supported.

12-bay UX-1200U-RP or 8-bay UX-800U-RP expansion units can be connected for up to 192 TB of raw capacity using 8 TB drives.

The TS-x63U series is targeted at SMBs looking for backup, restoration, virtualization storage and private cloud applications. The new rackmounts run QNAP’s QTS 4.2 OS with its new Container Station supporting Docker Hub Registry and QNAP’s broad array of virtualization, storage backup and server applications.

The TS-463U, TS-463U-RP, TS-863U, TS-863U-RP, TS-1263U and TS-1263U-RP are available now at street prices from $1099 for the TS-463U up to $2399 for the TS-1263U-RP.
