D-Link Adds HD Cloud Cam Pair

D-Link logoD-Link has expanded its cloud-enabled network camera line with two models.

The D-Link Cloud Camera 2200 and 2300 both support 720p HD images from a 1/4" CMOS progressive image sensor using a fixed-focus 3.45 mm F2.0 lens.

The 2300 has an IP-65 certified weatherproof casing and can be powered via 802.3af Power over Ethernet in addition to DC powering, while the 2200 does not have either feature.

In contrast, the 2200 has digital input/output ports for attaching external devices that can trigger and be triggered by the camera and supports network connection via 802.11bgn wireless in addition to 10/100 Ethernet.

Features common to both cameras include H.264/MPEG-4/MJPEG simultaneous format compression, H.264/MPEG-4 multicast streaming, JPEG still images, 10X digital zoom, 10/100 Ethernet port and MicroSD/SDHC card slot for on-board recording. Both also have built-in infrared illumination for up to 5m and a passive infrared sensor for enhanced motion detection.

Like other D-Link Cloud Cameras, the 2300 and 2200 are supported by D-Link’s mydlink cloud-based portal for remote camera access from any web browser and iOS and Android mobile devices via dedicated apps.

The Cloud Camera 2220 (DCS-2132L) and Cloud Camera 2300 (DCS-2310L) will be available this month at MSRPs of $199.99 and $299.99 respectively.
