Apple has officially acknowledged that it is launching a cloud service.

The company just issued a press release saying that it would preview its next MacOS (Lion) and iOS (5) releases, as well as describe the iCloud "cloud services offering" at next week’s WWDC on June 6.

Not that this announcement will stop the blogosphere from continuing to speculate on just what might be included in iCloud. Gotta generate page views somehow…
