Among the available applications are the Joomla! content management system, phpMyAdmin for MySQL database management, SlimServer (with Squeeze Center 7) and optware IPKG.

Other features in the 2.1.0 firmware are SMTP with SSL/TLS, "no-ip" support for DDNS, TwonkyMedia v 4.4.5 server and Rsync.

The 2.1.0 firmware is available as a free download from QNAP's download site.
