The N8800SAS supports eight SATA or SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) hard drives in a 2U rackmount chassis driven by a Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 2GB of DDR2 memory.
Other hardware features include Dual DOM (Disk on Memory), 450W redundant power supply and dual Gigabit Ethernet ports with 802.3ad link aggregation, load balance, and failover.
Multiple RAID 0, 1, 5, 6,10 or JBOD volumes are supported with hot swap, hot spare, online RAID migration and expansion and can be Ext3, XFS or ZFS formatted. iSCSI target and initiator modes are supported for linking multiple units into a single logical storage array.
The N8800SAS supports Thecus' extensive feature set including remote replication, UPnP AV streaming, IP cameras, BitTorrent download, iTunes and Photo web servers.
The N8800SAS will be available later this month at an MSRP of $1999.
