QNAP TS-410QNAP today introduced an aggressively-priced four-bay NAS aimed at winning over more consumers shopping for a RAID-5 capable BYOD NAS.

The TS-410 uses an 800 MHz Marvell "Kirkwood" processor and 256 MB of DDRII RAM and has an MSRP of $449. QNAP's previous lower-cost four-bay NAS, the TS-419P, features a 1.2 GHz Kirkwood processor and 512 MB of RAM and lists for $599.

Other TS-410 features include hot-swappable trays supporting 2.5" or 3.5" SATA drives (2TB drives supported) configurable in RAID 0/1/5/6/5+ spare, and JBOD with online RAID capacity expansion and online RAID level migration. Other hardware features include dual Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, four USB 2.0 and two eSATA ports for expansion and attached backup.

The new NAS runs QNAP's new AJAX-based V3 OS and supports the same wide range of features as QNAP's other NASes including iSCSI target, UPnP / DLNA / iTunes media serving, scheduled attached and networked backup, AFP, NFS, FTP and HTTP network services and SSH root access.

The TS-410 will ship later this month.
