Hammer Storage intros Terabyte dual-drive RAID NAS

Hammer Storage, a division of Bell Microproducts, yesterday announced its latest networked storage product.

myshare is a two drive SATA II NAS supporting JBOD and RAID 0 and 1 modes with a total capacity of 1 TB (2 x 500 GB drives). It has a 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet LAN port, supports SMB/CIFS and NFS network file protocols and includes FTP and print servers. The product also supports remote secure web-based access via HTTPS and a "one button" copy feature.

myshare is available now at an MSRP of $499.

Thecus Technololgy recently introduced its 1U4500 Rackmount Storage Device. The 1U4500 is a four-drive SATA NAS supporting up to RAID 10 in a a 1U rackmount form factor.

The new NAS is powered by an ultra-low voltage 1.5GHz Intel Celeron M processor with 512MB of DDR memory. Features include four hot-swappable hard disk trays that accept standard 3.5” SATAII hard disks for up to 3 TB of storage, eSATA port, LCD status display, RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, and JBOD support and dual gigabit Ethernet ports with 802.3ad-based Load Balancing and Failover capabilities.
