Axis adds three entry-level netcams

Axis Communications today announced three entry-level network cameras.

The M1011, the M1011-W and M1031-W support 640 X 480, 30 FPS video in H.264, Motion JPEG as well as MPEG-4 Part 2 encodings.

The M1011 has a 10/100 Ethernet LAN connection while the M1011-W and M1031-W add 802.11b/g wireless LAN connectivity.

The M1031-W also includes a passive infrared sensor for detecting movement in low-light and completely dark conditions and a white LED light for illuminating the scene automatically at an event or when requested by the user. Also included in the M1031-W are two-way audio via an integrated microphone and speaker.

The cameras will be available in January 2009 at MSRPs of $179 for the M1011, $199 for the M1011-W and $279 for the M1031-W.
