NETGEAR has released a dual-band N router with built-in cloud file sharing.
The WNDR3800 N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router Premium Edition is the first to support the company's new ReadySHARE Cloud service.
ReadySHARE Cloud shares a USB hard or flash drive plugged into router's USB port both locally and remotely via the Internet. Shared files can be accessed from computers and via iOS and Android apps.
The WNDR3800 runs on a hardware platform using a 680 MHz Qualcomm / Atheros processor, 16 MB of flash, 128 MB of RAM and dual Qualcomm / Atheros radios. Other features include Clear Channel Selector, USB printer sharing, parental controls and wireless guest network support.
In addition to cloud sharing, USB storage is also supported for UPnP / DLNA media serving and TiVo expansion storage.
The WNDR3800 is available now with street pricing around $150 and iOS and Android ReadySHARE Cloud apps at $2.99 each.
