Code 42 says it has improved the security of CrashPlan and CrashPlan Pro‘s mobile apps.
The latest version adds mobile access support for users who have specified private passwords or private encryption keys for their backups.
The mobile CrashPlan and CrashPlan PRO apps are currently available for free download via the Apple iTunes App Store, Android Marketplace, Microsoft’s Windows Phone Marketplace and Amazon Appstore.
The apps require a current subscription to either CrashPlan+ or CrashPlan PRO. A CrashPlan PROe app is expected to coincide with the release of CrashPlan PROe 3.0 later this year.
