D-Link yesterday announced the start of shipments of its DPG-1200 PC-on-TV, which was previewed at January's Consumer Electronics show. The device allows any PC-based audio or video content to be remotely displayed on remote TVs or displays.
Ruckus Wireless announces draft 802.11n mesh system
Ruckus Wireless today announced an enterprise-focused mesh wireless system based on draft 802.11n technology. The SmartMesh system is said to "self-organize, self-optimize, and self-heal" and is aimed at enterprises, hotels, schools, hospitals, warehouses, multi-dwelling units, and other environments where Ethernet cabling may not be widely deployed.

Last month, we reported that D-Link's troubled DIR-855 dual-band draft 802.11n router was once again delayed from reappearing on store shelves, this time due to component (un)availability. We just received an update from D-Link on the situation.
New to the Charts: HP mv5150 MediaVault Pro
The HP mv5150 Media Vault Pro is HP's refresh of its Linux-based Media Vault line. The attractive new enclosure takes its design cues from the troubled Windows Home Server-based Media Smart server. It is essentially a shorter version handling two drives. One is easily removable on a tool-less slide-out tray. The other drive also plugs into an internal backplane, but is not on a tray and requires removing four screws and a panel to access.
