Thecus is trialing a new version of its NAS OS.
ThecusOS 7.0 is designed on 64-bit architecture and compliant with HTML5 and delivers significant improvements in design, performance, and user experience.
The new OS adopts the multi-windowed "desktop" design long ago adopted by rivals QNAP, Synology and ASUSTOR.
ThecusOS 7.0 features include:
- Improved storage management with SSD cache support
- Easy file sharing via URL or QR code
- Media streaming via HDMI, VGA, Chromecast, Apple TV, and USB devices
- Improved Photo Station
- New App center with over 700 official and 3rd party apps available
