Sans Digital Introduces 50 bay Rackmount NAS

Sans Digital has announced a 50-bay rackmount NAS.

The EN850L+BXE is an 8U 50-bay rackmount NAS supporting up to 100 TB of storage using 3.5" SATA or SAS drives. Its hardware platform includes an Intel Nehalem Xeon Quad Core CPU, Intel X58 Chipset, 6 GB of DDR-3 ECC RAM, two 1200 MHz hardware RAID controllers and four hot-swappable redundant power supplies.

Four 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports using Intel 82574L Gigabit Ethernet controllers support link aggregation, load balancing and failover. Storage expansion is provided via two Mini-SAS ports that support 7 units or 122 additional drives per port. An optional 10 GbE port is also available.

Multiple XFS volumes using RAID 1, 3, 5, 6, 10 30, 50 and 60 are supported. Other software features include a browser-based management interface, Active Directory and windows domain support, scheduled NAS to NAS replication, scheduled and on-demand volume snapshots, local tape backup support, iSCSI target and initiator and VMware ESX and Microsoft Hyper-V server support.
