CodeLathe's TonidoPlug is not your typical "cloud" plug server.
Seagate's GoFlex system uses SATA to raise the performance level of its portable drives for both direct-attached and networked use.
CTERA's dual-drive NAS is very adept at both local and cloud backup. But it's definitely a specialty product.
It may have more USB ports and a colorful case. But the PogoPlug V2 is the slowest of the "cloud" NASes we've tested.
CloudPlug raises the bar (and speed) for external drive-to-NAS wall-warts
with its eSATA port.
Seagate's DockStar is an easy way to get its FreeAgent and other USB drives onto a network and even the Internet.
